Everything has a history.

The KU History Lab started in the Spring of 2019 when Assistant Teaching Professor Jonathan C. Hagel sat down with a couple of his students, Chuck Pratt and Andrew Chick, to sketch out how KU history undergraduates might go about exploring KU’s  rich history.

We started at home, with the history of the Department of History.

In the fall of 2019, the first crop of Historical Research Interns officially started that work. Their efforts continue to this day.
